Highlands Park have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of seasoned midfielder Musa Nyatama following his release from Orlando Pirates last Friday. Nyatama has penned a five month deal with the Lions with an option for an even longer stay with the Ekurhuleni outfit.

Highlands have had a rocky run this season with back to back fixtures and injuries in the squad which affected the team’s depth as previously stated by coach Owen Da Gama. The midfielder has played In the Premier League for a number of seasons dating back to his days in the colours of Bloem Celtic, Mamelodi Sundowns and recently Orlando Pirates.

The Lions of the North have brought a number of experienced personnel before from the likes of Mbesuma, Letsholonyane, Fransman, Ramagalela and now Nyatama. The 32 year old maestro will be in the colours of the Lions with a number eighteen on his back and is eligible to play as of the team’s next fixture against Uthongathi FC in the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup this weekend.

Club director and shareholder Sinky Mnisi has expressed delight in the acquisition of Nyatama’s services to the team and is hopeful that his experience will yield positives for the team.
